Plamondon Hospitality Companies’ New Market Expansion Drives Organizational Growth

Tripp Plamondon, third generation member of the Plamondon family, joins the company as Regional Director of Operations

Frederick, MD (September 23, 2024) – Plamondon Hospitality Partners welcomes Peter ‘Tripp’ Plamondon III as Regional Director of Operations to support the company’s recent growth.

“I am very proud to welcome Tripp into the company as a member of the third generation of our family business,” said Peter Plamondon, Jr., Co-President of the Plamondon Hospitality Partners. “My brother, Jim, and I are excited to continue the business legacy started by our father, Pete, Sr., when he founded our company in 1980.”

Today, the Plamondon Companies’ leadership team includes second generation family members Pete Plamondon Jr., Co-President, and Jim Plamondon, Co-President, as well as third-generation member Jeff Plamondon, Director of Real Estate & Business Development. With Tripp joining the team, the family’s inherited passion for quality hospitality, community engagement, and family values continues to be part of the business’ recipe for success.

Plamondon Hospitality Partners owns and operates 16 Marriott, Hilton, and Holiday Inn properties across Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. They provide an award-winning hospitality experience for guests and associates alike, and the company’s recent property expansion has created the need for additional leadership in the core Mid-Atlantic market.

“This year, Plamondon Hospitality Partners has grown its footprint with an acquisition in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and will be opening a dual-brand Marriott in Grovetown, Georgia this month,” says Michael Henningsen, Executive Vice President of Hotel Operations. “Because we’re committed to offering the same exceptional service in all our hotels, it’s vital to have a strong team supporting that growth in order to scale our business successfully. I’m excited to have Tripp join our Operations Leadership Team.”

Tripp Plamondon is a graduate of Cornell University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration & Management. After graduating, he worked for over ten years in the hospitality industry, gaining experience in operations, efficiency consulting, and asset management. He has worked at a variety of boutique hospitality firms, and has also held managerial roles at both Marriott and Hilton, both of which are important brands in Plamondon’s portfolio.

“Tripp’s background in hospitality brings great operational skills which are valuable as our company continues to grow. His operational experience will augment our team’s effectiveness in managing our Hilton portfolio,” said Peter Plamondon, Jr.

I have seen the industry from many different angles which has given me a perspective that will serve me extremely well in my new role.
