The Best Nonprofit Workplaces program evaluates organizations through a rigorous, data-driven process that includes an in-depth review of workplace policies, practices, and demographics, along with an independent employee engagement and satisfaction survey.

Being named a Best Nonprofit Workplace reflects the dedication, compassion, and professionalism of The Arc of Washington County’s employees, who support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full, meaningful lives in the community.

The Arc of Washington County is the largest provider of disability services in western Maryland and is recognized as one of the top employers in the region.
