Grand Opening Recap: Hagerstown Field House

Grand Opening Recap: Hagerstown Field House
On February 18th, the City of Hagerstown Department of Community & Economic Development proudly celebrated the Grand Opening of the Hagerstown Field House at 290 E. Memorial Blvd. The state-of-the-art indoor sports facility covering over 115,000 square feet, with an investment of over $25 million, offers a variety of amenities including two indoor turf fields, four basketball courts (expandable to 8 volleyball courts), a 8,000 square foot fitness center, and a cafe.
The facility will host various sports leagues, camps, fitness classes, clinics, and tournaments for both youth and adults in sports such as soccer, basketball, flag football, field hockey, lacrosse, and volleyball with an estimated 750,000 people passing through the doors the first year, and increasing to 1.25 million people the second year.
The Hagerstown Field House has put Hagerstown on the map as a destination for sports tourism. Eastern Sports Management, with a 20-year lease on the space, has brought in over 3,000 visitors already in the short time the Field House has been open, and already has over 100 memberships.
This new addition to Hagerstown will serve residents and visitors for generations to come. Congratulations to the many people who had a hand in bringing this vision to fruition over the last 7 years!
On Saturday, February 22, the community was invited to an Open House of the facility with free programs for youth and adults, and it was a huge success!
