Ghost Writer LLC Welcomes Amy Peterson as New Agency Advocate
Meet Ghost Writer LLC's new agency advocate, Amy!
WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Amy Peterson has joined professional fundraising counsel Ghost Writer LLC as the company’s newest agency advocate. In this role, Peterson serves as the contact point for nonprofits and other organizations and coordinates projects across Ghost Writer’s team of writers, editors, and designers. She is also the company’s main contact for Maryland-based clients in the nonprofit space.
Peterson brings a wealth of experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in downtown revitalization efforts and human services. “My work has always centered on helping people and organizations tell their stories with clarity, care, and intention,” she says. “For more than 15 years, I have worked across nonprofit & government leadership, development, and communications, partnering closely with mission-driven teams and public institutions to translate complex ideas into language that feels honest, accessible, and human.”
Several of her grants have yielded awards upwards of $1 million. “Much of my career has been spent writing major grants for highly targeted community projects, helping individual organizations and municipalities bring specific visions to life,” says Peterson. “What excites me about Ghost Writer is the opportunity to apply that same skill set across a broader landscape.”
To Peterson, writing serves a dual purpose: implementing strategy and building relationships. “Writing for diverse audiences has strengthened my ability to listen carefully, adapt voice, and honor the perspective behind each story,” she says. “This has prepared me well for the thoughtful, client-centered work at Ghost Writer, where nuance and authenticity matter.”
“Attracting someone of Amy’s caliber is a sign that we are doing meaningful work,” says Kirsten Hubbard, CEO of Ghost Writer. “We are eager to add her immense skills and deep understanding of the challenges our communities face to our team, especially for our Maryland clients and those interested in economic development.”
Peterson joins a team of six full-time nonprofit professionals at Ghost Writer, plus several contractors, who together act as an entire marketing and development department for nonprofits of all sizes. The breadth of Ghost Writer’s services include marketing, community outreach, and strategic planning, in addition to grant writing. To learn more, visit GhostWriterQuill.com or call 866-GHOSTIE.
