Children In Need, Inc. Distributes 2,059 Winter Coats Through Warm Wishes Initiative
Hagerstown, MD: Children In Need, Inc. extends a heartfelt thank you to the generous donors and community partners who helped make this winter season a little warmer for local children and families. Through the Warm Wishes Initiative, the organization distributed an incredible 2,059 winter coats to children in need across Washington County through its Client Services and Extended Services Programs since November 2024.
“This initiative is more than just providing coats—it’s about ensuring that every child facing economic hardship has the warmth and protection they need to thrive,” said Brittany Wedd, Executive Director of Children In Need, Inc. “We are beyond grateful for the generosity of our community, whose kindness has not only warmed bodies but hearts as well over the winter season.”
This year’s coat distribution was made possible through the generosity and support of our dedicated partners, whose contributions ensured that thousands of children received the warmth they needed this winter. We extend our deepest gratitude to Operation Warm, Emerald Pointe Neighbors, The Women’s Club Hagerstown MD, Dwayne Miller, Hub City Vineyard, St. Paul’s Reformed Church, Clear Spring Country Diner, Salem Reformed Church, Middletown Valley Bank, Patriot Federal Credit Union, Williamsport Walmart Distribution, Amazon Warehouse, CertainTeed, Fives, OshKosh B’gosh, JLG Industries, and many more generous individuals and businesses. Because of these incredible contributions, thousands of children now have the warmth they need to stay safe and comfortable this winter.
