In a powerful show of community commitment, Brethren Mutual’s President & CEO Bob Glass personally matched every single item donated by employees.

A first-year initiative for the Company, Brethren employees exceeded expectations in the company-wide food drive. Collected donations were a direct result of high-priority needs identified on the It’s a Blessing to Be a Blessing’s Facebook page. “With a longstanding tradition of serving our neighbors, Brethren employees have always had a heart for giving,” shared Glass. “The food donated will have a tremendous impact in the community where no one should ever go hungry.”

Lauren Vaccari, Board member of It’s a Blessing to Be a Blessing was on hand to receive Brethren’s donation on behalf of the non-profit. She shared that Brethren’s generosity will directly impact hundreds of families – especially at the start of the holiday season.

Founded in Hagerstown, MD by Deirdre Norris (affectionately known as Mama Dee), It’s a Blessing to be a Blessing inspires the community to be a blessing by helping others. Hagerstown has one of the most underserved homeless communities in Maryland.
