The Cafe Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food in a timely manner. This position will pride itself on delivering quality tasting and picture-worthy entrees.  This part-time position reports to the Café Supervisor, the Food & Beverage Director and/or the General Manager.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Prepare and cook food safely and in a timely manner
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen area and equipment
  • Ensure all food is properly stored at the end of each night
  • Ensure food is stored at safe temperatures at all times
  • Follow consistency in all food builds
  • Create and display food with top standard presentation
  • Assist with training new team members
  • Assist Front of the House (FOH) team members as needed, to ensure quick and efficient ticket times
  • Suggest new ideas for business success and efficiency
  • May be required to operate the Smoothie Station
  • Engage with customers to include greeting guests, and providing friendly and professional service
  • Observe guests to anticipate their needs and respond quickly to requests
  • Communicate with managers regarding Back of the House (BOH) issues
  • Organize, stock, and control inventory
  • Able to multi-task
  • Able to work irregular shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Able to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift (8 or more hours)
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen area and equipment
  • Follow Maryland State Health Code regulations/Servsafe Regulations
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the Café Supervisor, Food and Beverage Director, and/or the General Manager
