Several times throughout the year, we select a Chamber member to speak about their organization during the mixer. We also feature work from artists affiliated with the Washington County Arts Council.

About the Artist, Penny Knobel-Besa:

As a candid photographer I look for moments when life creates art and I’m there to capture it. A gesture may catch my eye, the crossing of legs, a bend of a back as someone moves and I hope I’m quick enough to grab it. These photos result in black and white images of day-to-day life. But then who can ignore flashes of color. Before digital I carried two cameras one with B. & W. film the other with color. Now I still often have two around my neck one with a telephoto lens to avoid missing anything while changing lens! I also like to explore interesting computer elements that can twist or be added to a photo that lacks something. I enjoyed creating funky quirky photos that capture your attention. I’ve shown my work from Maine to Louisiana and Europe and have won national and local awards including being named Maryland Photographer of the Year in the past.

Launched in January 2024, Sweet Corn Puddin' is Tiera’s tribute to her family’s culinary heritage. Conveniently fully cooked and frozen, our puddings are free from preservatives, dyes, and artificial additives, providing both flavor and nutrition. Packed with protein, vitamins, and dietary fiber, our puddings are a wholesome indulgence made for everyone.

Today, Tiera’s mission is to touch hearts and bring people together through food, offering families everywhere the chance to create their own sweet memories.
