This 90-minute workshop equips small business owners and leaders who do not have a formal HR department with simple, human-centered systems to hire, manage, and care for their people while protecting their business. Participants will learn the P.E.O.P.L.E. Principles, practice real-world conversations, identify hidden risk areas, and leave with a clear one-page action plan they can implement immediately. The session blends heart, psychology, conscious compliance and grounded leadership truth. It is practical, emotionally intelligent, and transformative without any corporate spin.

About Will:

Will Ortiz-Febus, SHRM-CP, is an HR practitioner, speaker, writer, and cohost of The Beyond HR Podcast, where he helps reframe HR as a human, healing profession. Will’s mission is simple and bold: HR professionals, and the leaders who step into HR without a title, have a sacred responsibility to be the healers of their workplaces.

With years of hands-on HR experience inside real-world organizations, Will has seen the emotional weight leaders carry when they’re “accidental HR.” His work centers on restoring humanity at work through the P.E.O.P.L.E. Principles: Presence, Empathy, Ownership, Purpose, Listening, and Embodiment. These principles help small businesses create clear, compassionate systems for hiring, managing, developing, and caring for their people, without corporate jargon or performative culture talk.

Will’s style is grounded, soulful, and no-BS. He speaks directly to leaders who care about their people and want to build workplaces where humans don’t have to lose themselves just to earn a paycheck.
