TOPIC: Ben's Story
January's Speaker: Ben Ebertowski, Veterans & Military Specialist/School Certifying Official at Hagerstown Community College
Spend your morning meeting other Veterans and learn from Ben Ebertowski as he discusses his different career experiences, transitioning out of the military, his current position at HCC and volunteering in the community, plus lessons from his experience as a Veteran now back in civilian life.
About Ben:
Ben Ebertowski is a 39 y/o from Minnesota who has had approximately 20 different jobs in his life, including military, correctional officer, DJing nightclubs, teaching driver's education, and more. Ben joined the US Navy in 2002, and spent 5 years as a Hospital Corpsman with one deployment with the Marines to Iraq in 2006.
Ben graduated from Hagerstown Community College in 2016, and Shepherd University in 2018 with a Bachelors in Business Administration and Minor in Marketing. He is currently the Veterans and Military Specialist/School Certifying Official at HCC, and has been in this role since May 2021. Ben also volunteers assisting with development of the Washington County Veterans Suicide Prevention Coalition.
Some of his hobbies include shooting pool, playing poker, and listening to music. He has lived in MD since 2013 and has a 13 y/o daughter.
