Children In Need, Inc. is a 501C3 charitable organization founded in December 1998 to provide each Washington County, MD child living at or below the federally recognized poverty level essential items and educational supplies to ensure their success in school.

Every child living in Washington County and is in need is eligible for services from Children In Need, Inc. The primary mission of Children In Need, Inc. is to keep children in school, with a good sense of belonging. On behalf of their children, clients are eligible to visit the center once a month to receive needed clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and school supplies. Our Extended Services program responds to requests from WCPS and local agencies. Three agencies (CASA, WCPS, Bester Community of Hope) have access to the Center 24/7 to address emergencies. In order to keep children engaged in school, CIN makes every effort to supply needed items within a limited budget.
