The Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC) will be partnering with Sheehy Subaru Hagerstown for the 9th Annual Subaru Loves Pets Adoption Event on Sunday, October 23 from 11 am to 3 pm. The event will be held at Sheehy Subaru, 10310 Auto Place, Hagerstown. This year, dog adoption fees are $50 and cat adoption fees are $10. Animals available at the adoption event are able to go home with their new families that day. 

Adoptable animals have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated according to age, and given worm and flea preventatives prior to being placed up for adoption. HSWC also provides adopters with a complimentary health visit at a participating veterinarian, as well as 30 days of free health insurance for their new family member. 

Adoptions will occur on a first-come, first-served basis, pending an approved adoption application (to be completed onsite) and a successful meet-and-greet with the animal. HSWC’s Adoption Center will be closed to the public on Saturday, October 22 so that staff can prepare for the event held at Sheehy Subaru the following day. A preview of which animals will be in attendance at the Subaru Loves Pets Adoption Event will be posted on HSWC’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/hswcmd) on Saturday, October 22.
