Hagerstown, MD — Children In Need, Inc. is proud to announce the return of its signature fundraising event, Soles of Hope: Wild Wild West, taking place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Elmwood Farm Bed and Breakfast in Williamsport. This fundraiser event promises a fun and engaging evening for guests while supporting a critical cause.

Soles of Hope brings the community together to help ensure children in Washington County have access to properly fitting, new shoes. This is an essential need that directly impacts a child’s confidence, comfort, and ability to succeed in school. Last year, the event helped collect more than 2,200 pairs of new shoes for local children, and Children In Need aims to build on that success in 2026.

The evening will feature live music by Mike Kuster, great food, raffles, and interactive activities, all designed to create an enjoyable experience while raising awareness and support for children living in poverty. Proceeds from the event benefit Children In Need’s programs, which provide free clothing, shoes, hygiene products, and other essential items to more than 3,600 children in the community.

“We see firsthand how something as simple as a new pair of shoes can change a child’s day and their future,” said Brittany Wedd, Executive Director of Children In Need. “Soles of Hope allows our community to come together and make a tangible difference for local families.”
