HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Meritus Health is pleased to welcome gastroenterologist Christine Lewis, M.D., to Meritus Digestive Health Services.

Dr. Lewis recently started at the practice in suite 246 of the Robinwood Professional Center, 11110 Medical Campus Road in Hagerstown. She will also be seeing patients Wednesdays in Frederick at 310 W. Ninth St., Unit 10.

As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Lewis treats issues involving the mouth, esophagus, stomach and intestines. She also treats gallbladder, pancreas, liver and bile duct issues.

Dr. Lewis earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She did her residency in internal medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, also in Washington. She did her fellowship in gastroenterology at New York Medical College in Valhala, N.Y.

She is certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
