Making a Difference: Brethren Mutual Donates $28K to Four Local Non-Profit Organizations
Hagerstown, MD – Brethren Mutual believes strong communities are built through connection, kindness, and support.
Our 27th Charity Golf Tournament held in June 2026 raised $28,000 for four local non-profit organizations: Hospice of Washington County, American Cancer Society (Washington County Relay for Life), Grace Academy (Brad Browning Memorial Scholarship Fund), and Brethren’s Hagerstown Community College Scholarship Fund.
Brethren Mutual is proud to give back to Washington County and remain committed to helping our neighbors build a strong future. As a sidenote, Brethren is recognized by the American Cancer Society as the only business in Washington County to have participated in all 30 consecutive Washington County Relay for Life events to raise funds for cancer research, support patients and families, and promote cancer prevention and awareness.

Established in 1897, Brethren is headquartered in Hagerstown, Maryland and writes personal, commercial and farm business in DC, DE, MD, PA, VA (and WV this fall) through independent insurance agents. # # #
