Jeannie's Bio:
Jeannie Asbury, Executive Director of Reach of Washington County. Jeannie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Frostburg State University. Currently, she has 15 years’ financial experience, 10 years’ grant administration experience, and 9 years’ experience in leadership, marketing, and management. Jeannie ’s journey with Reach started in 2011 as a part-time Finance Administrator.
In 2013, her role increased as she also became the Shelter Administrator, overseeing the Cold Weather Shelter program and Reach’s 1600 volunteers. One of many rewarding parts of working at Reach is interacting with so many local businesses and houses of faith who share their time, treasure, and talents. Jeannie served as Chair of the local Homeless Coalition for three years and is currently serving as the Vice Chair. This opportunity allows her to further connect and collaborate with Reach’s community partners.
Jeannie became the Executive Director in May 2021 and feels very fortunate to have the guidance and mentorship of the two previous Executive Directors. These strong amazing women helped guide and inspire her leadership involvement. She is enjoying the opportunity to mentor future leaders within the organization.
