The Learning Lunch Hour

Tuesday, September 6, 2022 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

TOPIC: The 2022 General Election & The Business Perspective

With Paul Frey, President & CEO of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, and Jim Kercheval, Executive Director of the Greater Hagerstown Committee, Inc.

Every year over 2,500 bills are introduced in Annapolis. Come out to hear Jim Kercheval and Paul Frey discuss the importance of the business and nonprofit communities staying up-to-date on the legislative initiatives in Annapolis. Find out how to track legislation and how to communicate your concerns with our legislators during the General Assembly Session.

In 2005, local leaders formed the Washington County Community Coalition, an advocacy group with a two-fold mission: First, the Coalition lobbies Annapolis on issues important to Washington County. Second, the Coalition educates State leaders and policy makers on the priorities, activities, and strengths of our community at our Washington County Day in Annapolis reception.
