About Dan:

Originally from Baltimore County Maryland, Dan Spedden is a graduate of the University of Maine’s Natural Resource Management program. Dan is the retired State Park Superintendent for the South Mountain Recreation Area, a unit of the Maryland Park Service. He is currently the President of the Hagerstown/Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, a 501 C6 corporation with a mission to improve the economy of Washington County through the promotion and development of travel and tourism. He has been appointed to the Governor’s State Tourism Development Board and the Maryland Heritage Area Authority Board of Directors and served two terms on both. Dan resides in Hagerstown with his wife Janette.

About Tiffany:

As director of sales and community engagement, Tiffany promotes Washington County as a visitor destination and connects the community to the positive attributes of the tourism industry.

She has thirty years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, including owner of a horse-drawn carriage and tour company, director of marketing & sales at Visit Frederick, chief operating officer for the Howard County Tourism Council, and byway manager for the Maryland National Road Association.

Dedicated to service and a lover of history, she currently serves as president of the C&O Canal Association, Vice President of the National Road Heritage Foundation, and board director of the Small Museums Association. A Rotarian since 2008, she is currently a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club in Hagerstown. She is a graduate of the Leadership Washington County Class #35.
