Description

Join the Washington County Historical Society (WCHS) for its 2026 annual fundraiser, Spirits & Spirits, on Sunday, October 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This popular fundraiser returns for an afternoon of history, mystery, and live theatre at Williamsport's historic Springfield Manor.

Explore Springfield Manor and the surrounding historic property to see if you can solve a murder mystery set in 1776 Williamsport before the sun sets!

This afternoon event will include live music, hand-crafted cocktails, delicious refreshments, and a murder mystery -  featuring historical characters portrayed by ACT Black Box Studio of Hagerstown - that will transport you back in time to Washington County during 1776!

Tickets are $50.00, and each ticket includes two drinks and refreshments catered by Tara's Table and Ruth's Market. Historical costumes or your favorite fancy clothes are encouraged, but please be aware that this event requires light walking across uneven terrain at the historic property. We hope you join us to support the Washington County Historical Society and enjoy an afternoon in October at the Town of Williamsport's beautiful historic property.
