Washington County Gives Set for May 9th – Registration Open
The Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc. announces plans to host its eleventh annual Washington County Gives on Tuesday, May 9th, from midnight to midnight.
Registration is currently open through February 24th at washingtoncountygives.org for 501(c)(3) organizations with Washington County, MD headquarters. Registration cost is $300 for organizations with paid staff and only $65 for those with volunteer staff.
“Last year, we raised $590,569 for participating nonprofits. Between the fundraising that they did for their organizations, and the sponsored prizes we awarded them, there’s no question every person who donated played a hand in making Washington County a better place,” says Director of Marketing and Communications Tim Luipersbeck.
For Community Foundation fund holders, we’re also presenting the option to give in advance, as a disbursement from donor-advised funds, directly to a participating nonprofit.
“It’s an event that gets larger and larger each year, generating interest from cornerstone nonprofits that have been making impact for years, to nonprofits that are just getting started. If your organization does meaningful work in Washington County, it’s a no-brainer for you to be participating each year,” says Luipersbeck.
Sponsorships are also being sought. For interest, or general questions, please contact Luipersbeck at timl@cfwcmd.org. For more information about Washington County Gives and to register, please visit washingtoncountygives.org
