HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 12, 2022) — The United Way of Washington County, MD recently welcomed newly elected officers to the Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. Additionally, they warmly received the appointment of five incoming board members, bid farewell to four outgoing board members, and celebrated the continued dedication of ten board members. This brings the total number of current board members to twenty. These diverse community leaders offer a depth and breadth of knowledge that will enable thoughtful consideration and action to our county’s most urgent issues.


Elected 2022-2023 Officers:

Prior to accepting a seat as a board member for the 2022-2023 year, Ben Bruno, a Senior Project Engineer at JLG Industries, partnered with United Way of Washington County during JLG’s Good to Give Back internal event for community service. Through that partnership, Ben was able to connect and coordinate volunteer projects with United Way’s non-profit partners. As a new board member, Ben has a “renewed excitement for getting back to his volunteering roots,” and hopes to “influence the next generation to see the value in giving to the community.”
