SAVE THE DATES: Hagerstown Career Expos - November 15, 2023 and April 17, 2024
Both Hagerstown Career Expos will be FREE events for employers and attendees.
Dear Business Leader,
It is my pleasure to announce Hagerstown Community College (HCC), in partnership with Washington County Business and Economic Development, will be hosting two tradeshow style Career Expos this upcoming academic year. The Fall event will be held at the HCC Athletic Recreation and Community Center (ARCC) on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The Spring event will also be held at the HCC ARCC on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 and the timeframe is to be determined.
Both Hagerstown Career Expos will be FREE events for employers and attendees. Funding has been provided by a grant through Washington County Business and Economic Development and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The events will be held with the multi-purpose of (1) offering local employers the opportunity to showcase their organization and to share job and career pathway information; (2) offering job seekers the opportunity to apply and interview for local jobs; (3) offering local education institutions the opportunity to share information about credit programs and workforce training opportunities to promote pathways to careers and upgrade in-demand job skills; and (4) offering break-out training sessions for job seekers and employers.
Employer registration for the November 15 Hagerstown Career Expo will open on September 1. Registration information will be emailed the last week in August. Information about the Spring Career Expo will be shared in early February.
At this time, I invite you to consider if your organization would like to participate. No response is needed at this time, except to add the event to your calendar if you plan to participate.
If you do plan to participate, know that this tradeshow style event will provide you an opportunity to provide interactive displays and demonstrations to showcase open positions and career pathways with your organization. Also, an online job fair registration platform will be used for employers and attendees to register for the event. Registered employers will be able to upload handouts, photos, and videos to their booth page for attendees to preview prior to the event. Employers will have the ability to engage with attendees before, during and after the event.
