Applications Available for George R. Moore Fund for Wildlife Preservation

This grant awards $1,300 to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Washington County, Maryland, involved in wildlife preservation.

HAGERSTOWN, Maryland, July 15, 2022— Applications are being accepted for the 2022 George R. Moore Fund for Wildlife Preservation, through the Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc.. This grant awards $1,300 to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Washington County, Maryland, involved in wildlife preservation.

In the recent past, organizations like the Beaver Creek Watershed Association, Inc. and The Potomac Valley Audubon Society’s The Monarch Alliance were recipients.  

Mr. George Moore was a farmer and educator who passed away in 2013. His estate created the George R. Moore Wildlife Preservation Fund to support organizations working to preserve wildlife in the local area. Applications are due by September 1st at 11:59pm.
